For employers:
- Read the Information for Employers
- Complete the Employer Expression of Interest form
- Respond to questions asked by the State Training Services Industry Training Advisor (for SBAs) or by the School Region (for SBTs), as set out in the Employer Questionnaire and Checklist for Employment of an SBAT form
- Where necessary, address the needs on the Student Needs Assessment form
- Ensure all the required insurance arrangements are in place to cover the SBAT as an employee
- Support student safety - for example, induction, supervision, OHS, child protection
- Notify relevant issues immediately to the student's school using the Incident Report
