For School Regions:

  • Read the Information for DET School Regions document
  • Gather Student Expression of Interest forms and Student Needs Assessment forms from schools
  • Complete the Employer Questionnaire and Checklist for potential employers of an SBT. For SBAs, this process is conducted by the State Training Services Industry Training Advisor
  • Gather Employer Expressions of Interest forms and Employer Questionnaire and Checklist forms
  • Liaise with local State Training Services office re suitability of employer
  • Send Student Needs Assessment form (if particular needs have been identified) to prospective employer/s for them to respond to
  • Receive Student Needs Assessment form with employer response
  • Gather relevant papers for sign up and Principal endorsement of training plan
  • Provide advice to all parties about the notification process for any incidents, grievances or concerns, using the Incident Report.
