• Read the Information for Schools document
• Check the Student Needs Assessment form to ensure it reflects the school's knowledge of the student's needs
• Confirm Student Needs Assessment process has been completed using Student Needs Assessment form
• Sight the following completed documents prior to endorsing SBAT training plan
• Student Expression of Interest form
• Parent/Carer Agreement form
• Student Needs Assessment form
• Employer Questionnaire and Checklist for the Employment of a SBAT
• Provide SBAT Contacts card to student
• Provide preparatory session to student, refer to A Guide for Schools
• Liaise with local State Training Centre to support student
• Conduct catch up session to monitor students progress and wellbeing at the end of each term utilising the Catch up Questionnaire
• Use Incident Report to refer on issues, grievances to the Vocational Education in Schools Directorate
