T3 School-Based Traineeships are available in:
- Vehicle Servicing (Light Vehicle)
Service technician is not just another name for a mechanic. Modern vehicle servicing - even of heavy vehicles - suits the same sort of people who become computer or electrical technicians. It uses electronic equipment as much as traditional tools, and it's an increasingly popular career for women.
- Parts Interpreting
Parts interpreters are in big demand. They need computer skills, a good memory and a desire to help people, and it's not only for car lovers. Customers have so many ways of describing a part, it's the interpreter's job to interpret what they need and get it for them.
- Business Services
More than just paperwork, administration in the car industry is all about computers and systems in every area - sales, service, reception, finance, human resources, every aspect of the business. Your work experience could be in a dealership or even a car company head office.
